In The Stars - My Brothers and I, Adam Hinden
Dance/electronic. I like this 1000x more than the original (not by Adam). There are a few people I always think of when I listen to this. Hopeful, bittersweet vibes.
Marijuana Breath - Adam Jensen
Pop. Was in tears when this song came on as I was on a train leaving Amsterdam for Ghent, Belgium—I was sad that my time in Ams had come to an end, but the title of the song was hilariously appropriate considering how many “coffee shops” there are in the city.
Call If You Need Me - Vance Joy
Alternative/ indie. My Australian friend Alex introduced me to this artist. This is his favorite song of Vance’s—tune in if you’re into indie folk.
Pop. When I was solo traveling in Ghent, three hostelers who shared the room with me blasted music as they unpacked. This, and the Sofia Reyes song below, were two of the songs that I Shazam’d as they sang along.
1, 2, 3 - Sofia Reyes ft. Jason Derulo & De La Ghetto
Pop. A super upbeat song that makes you wanna dance when you hear it.
you can find these additions to my monthly faves playlist on Spotify, which is oh-so-conveniently located below :)
